Let's Look Around
The Medical Division came to the fore during late spring
with Kadlec Hospital holding its first annual open house.
Interested citizens were shown the complete facilities that are
provided for their care; facilities which are among the most
modern and progressive in the nation.
Congenial and efficient staff members, crisp in their whites,
guided hundreds of us through the halls and intricacies of this
establishment so vital to our community.
Visitors were particularly interested in the accommodations set
up to care for the approximately 600 babies welcomed here yearly.
The Atom-bursting Village of the West boasts a record-bursting
birth-rate 68% higher than the national average and with atomic
energy slated to play an important role in medicine it is fittingly
noted that medicine is playing an important role in keeping the
atom-workers healthy, for the death rate here, as announced by
Kadlec during the open house, is 1/7 the national average.
